New Korean Comitium established.

On Sunday June 19, 2007 Korean legionaries gathered at the Auckland Korean Holy Family Church for the establishment of the Mother of God Comitium. This was its first meeting. Attending this meeting were the officers of Immaculate Conception curia as well as three officers of the Senatus of New Zealand: Sr Cathy Southern, Bros.Philip Dromgool and Frank Douglas. The meeting was run as a normal curia meeting until at the end a DVD of the history of the Korean Legion in Auckland was shown illustrating various events of the past 15 years. After the meeting all retired to the dining room where Fr John the Evanglist Kim made a few comments and blessed the food. Sr Southern congratulated all the legionaries present and commmended them for their excellent efforts so far. Up till this month the Comitum had been the Mother of God curia, North Shore. Attached to the new Comitium is the Immaculate Conception Auckland Korean curia and Korean praesidia in Palmerston North and Rotorua. The new Comitium is responsible for 20 attached praesidia of its own as well as the Auckland curia which also has 20 attached praesidia.
